Georgia will be represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 by Bzikebi, marking the return of the country’s Junior Eurovision 2008 winners.
The decision was made by the Georgian Public Broadcaster, confirming the group’s participation in the upcoming competition, which will be held in Vienna, Austria.
Bzikebi consists of Giorgi Shiolashvili, Mariam Tatulashvili, and Mariam Kikuashvili, who first gained recognition as children when they secured Georgia’s first victory at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2008.
The group was originally formed in Tbilisi during the national selection process, where the three performers initially competed individually before being объединены into a single act by the jury.
At just 10 years old, they became the youngest contestants in the competition and quickly stood out for their distinctive performance style.
After winning the national selection by a significant margin, Bzikebi represented Georgia in Limassol, Cyprus, where their energetic and unconventional entry captured international attention and led them to victory.
Following their success, the group released the album Zabuzey, which gained popularity among younger audiences in Georgia.
Now, nearly two decades later, Bzikebi return to the stage with an updated artistic direction, reflecting both their musical growth and a more contemporary approach.
Their participation in Eurovision 2026 signals not only a revival of a well-known act, but also the start of a new phase in their creative journey.
With this renewed concept, Georgia aims to reintroduce Bzikebi to an international audience on one of the world’s most prominent music platforms.
